Strengthening channels of communication

All staff orientation today focused on the development of a standard approach to using Moodle as a communication tool between teachers, students and parents.

At a fundamental level, Moodle seems to work well – providing a basic platform for the sharing of basic information on a class by class basis.    I assume that frustrations (if any) may stem from unmet expectations.    Therefore, it is critical to identify what Moodle is and what it is not, and then build rational tools around it to help support the teaching / learning process.   Throughout my practicum, I plan to work as much as possible with the resource and at the same time, explore alternatives and additional resources to support the classroom.   Recommendations and suggestions are most welcome!   Initial work has gone into the development of an Edmodo page, which can be found here:
